Chris Baker

Biography

Chris Baker is the chief compliance officer (CCO) at Aurelius Financial Group Limited. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing global compliance activities and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures. He works closely with the AryX Markets Executive Leadership Team and AryX Markets committees to ensure that business priorities and compliance requirements are aligned. In addition, Chris is the CCO for AryX Markets Funds and is responsible for oversight reporting to the AryX Markets Funds Board of Trustees. Prior to his current role, Chris was the CCO for State Street Global Advisors (SSGA). In this role, he led a compliance team responsible for adherence to global regulations and supporting all SSGA functions, including investments, sales, product, and broker-dealers. Prior to his CCO role, Chris held a variety of senior compliance roles at SSGA, including senior compliance officer for Alternative Investment Solutions, Sector Solutions, and Global Marketing. Before SSGA, Chris served in various leadership roles at MFS Investment Management. He began his investment industry career in 2000. Chris earned a bachelor’s degree from Franklin & Marshall College and a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from Boston University.
